Production

Who makes these pieces?
It's me, Bettina! I design each piece and collection and source materials locally here in Ontario, Canada and Quebec. I also have a small team of local ladies who help string each piece.

How are these pieces made?
We use premium quality 14k gold-filled, 14k rose gold-filled, and genuine 925 sterling silver beads that are manufactured in Ontario. We also use clear thick jewelry stretch cord so that your beaded pieces are easy to roll on and off.

Materials

What is 14k gold-filled? How is it different from gold-plated?
14k gold-filled is an excellent alternative to solid gold because it’s more affordable and more durable than gold-plated. Gold-filled jewelry is chemically-bound gold on top of another base metal. It’s 100% thicker than gold-plated, and can last decades if the jewelry is properly cared for.

Gold-filled is also tarnish-resistant, long-lasting, and ideal for everyday wear and for those with sensitive skin. It typically holds 5% gold by weight. Gold-plated jewelry is made by taking a piece of jewelry and literally dipping it in liquid gold. This can rub off easily, tarnish, and discolour. Those with sensitive skin may not be able to tolerate gold-plated and it typically holds a weight of up to 0.05% gold.

Do your bracelets stretch?
Yes, these bracelets are made with clear thick jewelry stretch cord so that your bracelet pieces are easy to roll on and off the wrist.

Jewelry Care

Will my pieces tarnish?

Are these pieces waterproof and hypoallergenic?
Yes! However to prolong the longevity of your pieces we recommend taking care of your pieces.

How do I take care of my pieces?
Your premium hand-crafted pieces should be kept free from moisture (perfume, shower, lotions, etc). You can wipe them clean with a damp cloth to maintain brightness, cleanliness, and longevity. Gently use a polishing cloth to maintain luster and do not over-stretch. They are high quality, waterproof, tarnish-resistant, and hypoallergenic.

Are these pieces made-to-order?
Yes! Your pieces are made to your specified size and any other custom requirements.

What if I purchase the wrong size?
Because these pieces are all custom and made-to-order we do not except refunds and all sales are final. You the customer are responsible for purchasing the right size for you. Please measure accurately by accessing our measuring guides and feel free to ask any questions to help clarify before purchasing.

How long does it take for these custom pieces to be made?
All pieces are custom made so please allow up to 8 business days to be shipped out.

Return Policy

What is your return policy?
All sales are final and no refunds are available because all pieces are custom and made-to-order. We want you to be happy with your order so please be sure to read our product descriptions thoroughly and measure before purchasing. Let us know if you have any questions regarding our pieces before purchasing.

Repair Policy

What if my bracelet breaks?
All sales are final and there are no refunds. We pay special attention to make each piece with premium quality materials that include thick jewelry cord and jewellers concrete glue. If there is any issue that we are responsible for then feel free to reach out so we can discuss correcting the issue swiftly.

What if my bracelet is over-stretched?
If your bracelet becomes over-stretched over time and you have all your materials, then feel free to seek out our re-stringing service here.

Shipping

How do you ship your jewelry?
All pieces are currently lettermail shipped however we are working on providing tracking as well.

Do you offer tracking?
No, at the moment we do not offer tracking but we are working on it!

Do you ship internationally?
Yes! We offer international lettermail shipping.

What if my pieces arrive damaged?
If your pieces arrive damaged please take photos of them in natural light immediately upon arrival and get in touch with us right away by email us at hello@charlieamore.com.

When will my items ship?
Your custom made-to-order pieces have a short production time and will be shipped out within 8 business days. You will receive an email from us as soon as your piece(s) are shipped.

Do I need to pay customs fees from overseas?
Any countries outside of Canada may impose customs or import fees and we have no control over these fees. Please feel free to check your country's customs fees before purchasing.
